SUMMARY
Bastiaan, a high jewelry manufacturer serving elite clients in the US and Europe, sought to modernize its manual operations. Over seven months, we conducted 20+ stakeholder interviews, mapped 80+ business processes, and developed a digital transformation roadmap with three future-state scenarios and a clear IT budget forecast. This provided a structured path for digital adoption, improving efficiency, production tracking, and client service, positioning Bastiaan for long-term scalability.

PROJECT DETAILS
BACKGROUND
Bastiaan, a distinguished high jewelry manufacturer based in Bangkok, serves an exclusive clientele across the US and Europe. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and design, the company has grown significantly. However, its operational processes remained largely manual, covering client and order management, production planning, inventory tracking, and financial management. Initially, Bastiaan sought a project management tool to enhance workflow coordination. However, a deeper assessment revealed an opportunity for a more comprehensive approach—a strategic digital transformation roadmap to modernize core business functions across two of its companies.
CHALLENGES
• Limited digital integration – Key operations, from order tracking to financial management, were managed manually, leading to inefficiencies. • Lack of structured process documentation – The absence of formalized workflows made it challenging to scale and optimize operations. • Production visibility constraints – Difficulties in accurately forecasting production timelines occasionally led to misalignment between manufacturing schedules and client expectations. • Unclear transformation priorities – Without a clear roadmap, it was challenging to determine where to begin and how to allocate IT investments effectively.
WHAT WE DID
ASAP Project worked together with Bastiaan team to craft their transformation plan:
1. Comprehensive Assessment We conducted 20+ in-depth interview sessions with key stakeholders to understand the challenges and operational workflows across the business. This effort helped identify the primary areas for improvement and provided valuable insights into the company’s digital needs.
2. Process Mapping Through the assessment, we successfully mapped and documented 80+ business processes, which had never been formally structured before. This comprehensive mapping laid the groundwork for identifying inefficiencies and informed future system design and improvements.
3. Digital Transformation Roadmap & Strategic Prioritization We developed a detailed transformation roadmap outlining: • Prioritized areas for digital investment, ensuring a phased and structured approach. • Clear IT budget forecasts, allowing for informed decision-making. • Three future-state scenarios, providing flexibility based on different business growth strategies and investment levels.
OUTCOMES
• Strategic Roadmap for Transformation – Bastiaan now has a step-by-step plan to digitize its operations effectively. • IT Budget Transparency – A 100% clear IT budget forecast supports more strategic investment planning. • Improved Operational Visibility – With 80+ business processes documented and optimized, Bastiaan can implement systems to enhance production planning, forecasting, and overall workflow efficiency.
By establishing a structured digital transformation plan, Bastiaan is now well-positioned to evolve from manual processes to a data-driven, technology-enabled operation, ensuring greater efficiency, scalability, and enhanced client service.
